Destan (English Title: Epic) is a Turkish- made historical and fictional television series signed by Bozdağ Film, whose first episode was broadcast on 23 November 2021, directed by Emir Khalilzadeh and written by Nehir Erdem and Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz. Ebru Şahin, Edip Tepeli and Selim Bayraktar are in thelead roles in the series. The series was created as fictional, inspired by some epics rather than historical reality.

Destan Synopsis
The epic love between Akkız, the legendary warrior mountain girl orphaned by Gök Kagan Korkut Khan in the harsh steppes of Central Asia, and Gök Tegini Batuga, who was orphaned by Korkut Khan in the Gök Palace; It is about the love of these two strange birds to achieve the impossible by making swords and their hearts as shields.
“Destan”, which appeared as a period series, was first announced as “Akkız Epic”. The series, which is said to be on the screen with the name Destan, is about a story that goes back to the past. A story that takes place in the 9th century before the Turks accepted Islam constitutes the main subject of the Destan. Edip Tepeli (born 18 April 1989, İzmir) is a Turkish theater, TV series, and film actor. Graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory Theater Department. He started his television adventure in 2014 with the TV series “Kurt Seyit ve Şura”. He attracted attention with the character of “Kavruk Ömer” in the TV series “Sefirin Kızı”.
